Salted Caramel Pecan Turtle Cups
Dark chocolate, salted pecan caramel, and toasted pecans

  1. melt chocolate gently in a double boiler or in the microwave in 30-second increments (about 60-90 seconds total)
  2. fill 4 standard size (or 8 mini) paper muffin cups with HALF of melted chocolate, then freeze about 10 minutes to firm
  3. make caramel by mixing pecan butter with maple and a generous pinch of fine sea salt in a small bowl, then top chocolate by dividing caramel evenly among cups (note: if you buy pecan butter with salt omit the salt in this step)
  4. divide remaining melted chocolate among the cups, add toasted pecans and a pinch of flake salt, then pop in freezer one last time to firm, about 10 minutes
  5. enjoy Salted Caramel Pecan Turtle Cups at room temp or keep in the fridge for a cold treat
